Responsibilities include:

  • Support sales activities with reviewing project bid documents, quantity take-offs, and preparing estimates
  • Visit clients and conferences for sales and marketing activities
  • Prepare and review static calculations and technical drawings of bridge bearings and expansion joints
  • Provide technical support to sales, production and purchasing departments
  • Perform general engineering tasks and support R&D activities
  • Manage projects from proposal stage, to procurement and fabrication, through installation
  • Create and issue Project Submittals, RFI’s and Change Orders
  • Ensure that projects meet all contract and regulatory requirements
  • Travel as needed for factory and site inspections
  • Perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Maintain a positive attitude

Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Previous internship(s) experience at engineering / construction firm preferred
  • Experience in structural engineering and CAD drafting tools required
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) license preferred
  • Familiarity with contract management expected
  • Willingness to work in multiple disciplines (sales, engineering, project management) expected
  • Strong communication skills, including analytical, collaboration and problem solving
  • Strong working experience with Microsoft Office tools required

Duration: 12 to 18 months

Stipend: $2,500/month
