POSITION OVERVIEW
As a FiComm Partners PR intern, you will support a number of projects, including (but not limited to) monitoring for media coverage, drafting agendas, competitor and media research, drafting press releases and media pitches, building media lists, pitching the media and supporting the PR team with client meetings, and more. Interns gain hands-on experience while working in the field alongside experienced and recognized members of the finance community, being exposed to what it takes to prepare, enter and disrupt the market.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS
- Administrative support of our client service including media coverage monitoring and communication, development of media lists, interview briefing sheets and reporting requirements
- Review and analyze industry news and ongoing trends to create opportunities for our clients
- Make sure all information is entered into Salesforce in real-time
- Offer help to co-workers on projects and volunteer before being asked
- Has strong attention to detail, and takes initiative to ask questions where clarification or direction is needed
- Ability to multitask working together in a team environment as well as working independently
- Closes the loop on assignments, notifying the team when actions are complete
- Supporting teams across the agency with additional tasks as needed, including marketing projects
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior public relations internship experience preferred
- Knowledge of finance a plus
- Exceptional verbal, writing, editing, research, and intrapersonal skills
- Hyper-organized professional with proven project management skills
- Understanding of Microsoft Office suite with knowledge of Salesforce and Meltwater/Muck Rack/Cision/Vocus/Gorkana preferred
- Creative and energetic personality with start-up mentality that has the ability to work independently and within a team
