Finance Team Intern
We’re a startup so a self-starter mentality comes first and foremost. You are someone who will dive into whatever challenge is placed in front of you. Our finance team interacts extensively with teams across sales, marketing, operations, compliance, legal and other areas of Vestwell, and performs critical functions that allow Vestwell to scale.
As an ideal candidate, you are creative, thoughtful, and meticulous about detail. You’re OK with taking on the minutia knowing that you’ll be exposed to high-level projects as well. You enjoy outside-the-box thinking and do not shy away from a challenge. Most importantly, you’re excited to learn and contribute as much as possible!
What will you be doing at Vestwell?

Support Vestwell’s Financial Controller in month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes and associated tasks

Creating metrics reports to assess progress against company financial forecasts and KPIs

Assisting Vestwell’s Finance team and general counsel in the management of external vendors

Assisting Vestwell’s Finance team with preparation of invoices and co-ordination of billing procedures for Vestwell’s clients

Assisting Vestwell’s Sales, Operations and Finance teams with reconciling and updating the Vestwell platform and other business software

Assisting with various administrative and office tasks
Ideal Candidates

Some knowledge of business / accounting principles and procedures
-
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint programs

Prior internship experience in a professional setting
