Parkway Plastics was the first company to design and manufacture a stock plastic jar and to this day still boasts one of the largest lines of plastic jars and caps in the industry. Digital Marketing Intern
We are looking to expand our brand, creating original online images, banners, labels and signs, print and email marketing. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the Digital Marketing Assistant is responsible for assisting the Digital Marketing Manager with developing, implementing and managing digital marketing campaigns that promote our company, products and services. Enhance brand awareness within digital space as well as drive website traffic and acquiring leads/customers. In addition, they will assist with optimizing marketing campaigns, email marketing, social media and advertising opportunities and serve as back up in customer service when needed.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Checking and responding to emails
  • Update and maintain digital marketing calendar with Marketing Manager's direction.
  • Nurture authentic connections with customers to earn their trust and loyalty through various forms of engagement (social media, emails, phone calls).
  • Create and maintain brand awareness through use of social media, blogging, backlinks and various publishing platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Newsfeeds, Magazines, Forums)
  • Manage social media outlets (keep account clean with active followers; update daily with industry-related news, product info, answers to customers FAQs, etc; engage with followers, find new leads, convert to customers; monitor analytics and use data to understand target customers) Manage desktop and mobile versions of website, including product descriptions, photos and landing pages; create graphic slides; optimize website titles, pages, meta descriptions, etc. using analytical SEO programs.
  • Troubleshoot website issues with technical support as necessary
  • Update and maintain tradeshow calendar; attend tradeshows and follow up with new leads.
  • Update and maintain company profiles (add photos, links, promotions, copy, correct contact info)
  • Stay up-to-date with plastics industry news via digital newsfeeds and print publications
  • Attend relevant marketing webinars and conferences to stay on top of new digital marketing trends
  • Analyze competitors activity and use data to create content
  • Gather company info and submit nominations to relevant opportunities
  • Monitor and maintain customer reviews; providing customer service when necessary to keep 5-star ratings
  • Content creation (slides, blogs, social media conversation starters, polls, videos, product photography)
  • Blogging writing blogs relevant to the plastics industry; blogging also includes interviewing and featuring customers regarding their positive experiences
  • Manage guest blog posts (connect with blogger, schedule posts, edit and publish)
  • Industry-specific marketing (create content, website pages, blogs; seek and convert leads)
Duration: 12 months
Stipend: $1,500 - $2,000 per month
