A growing Hospitality Group in NYC seeks an ACCOUNTING/ADMINISTRATIVE INTERN to join our corporate office located in SOHO/NOLITA. Successful candidates must demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to take direction. We are looking for a quick learner with strong computer competency.

This is an entry level position, perfect for the accounting/business administration students or a recent college grad to gain more work experience.
 

Responsibilities:
• Organize and maintain paper documents and electronic files (Accounting and HR related)
• Perform data entry in QuickBooks and MS Excel, uploading the invoices using PlateIQ, managing PlateIQ system
• Reconciled vendor statements, requesting missing invoices and credits, filing paid invoices and organize vendor files
• Respond to the chargeback notifications or retrieval requests by the due date
• Assist in payroll preparation
• Organize credit card statements and receipts, upload daily transaction, request missing receipts, monthly credit card accounts reconciliation
• Reconcile daily petty cash receipts
• Carry out HR onboarding process and facilitate paperwork
• Create and update excel spreadsheets
• Regular office duties: answering phone calls, copying, faxing, scanning, filing etc
• Run some errands (bank, post office, UPS, FEDEX, DOB, DOH etc)
• Organize an office and maintain a clean office environment
• Work with Controller to increase the ease and efficiency of the daily duties
• Perform other duties and special projects, as directed and necessary for the office

Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of similar work experience in performing administrative duties, ideally within a hospitality group
• Professional, detail oriented, self-motivated, organized and punctual
• Able to multi-task and efficiently plan and implement work priorities
• Good knowledge of MS Office (MS WORD, MS EXCEL) and QuickBooks


Duration: 12 months
 
Stipend: $2,400/month
